Over the past 35 - 40 years Dorothy's work has been displayed
in juried shows in Belleville as well as other centers in East
Central Ontario, primarily through the Belleville Art Association,
East Central Ontario Art Association and Quinte Arts Council,
organizations in which she currently has memberships. At different
times she has also belonged to other art organizations in the
area and participated in their juried shows as well. From time
to time she has shown her work in various small commercial galleries
where her work has been quite popular.
Dorothy has exhibited her
work many times in many places, her most significant exhibits
being in the Belleville Library Gallery where there was an exhibition
of her prints in the 1970s and more recently, a major solo exhibition
of her work in various media. Some of her work is currently hanging
in Bridge Street Church in Belleville, in Belleville General
Hospital (as part of a Quinte Arts Council display) and in some
local offices through of the Belleville Art Association's rental
program. Her work is also included in many private collections
in Canada, U.S. and abroad.
Dorothy was one of the
original members of both the Belleville Art Association and the
East Central Ontario Art Association. She has been actively involved
in the growth and development of these organizations and has
held offices in both.
